At the GOC we are serious about helping our Members get jobs. Recently, we were at a local job fair giving our Members access to employers. We also let employers know that we will support our Members once they are working. Sometimes, we can work with the Members even on the job site. Employment is the gateway to independence. That is what our Members deserve. Daniel is back in school studying IT. He will also be working in our Transitional Employment position with Alachua County very soon. Our Employment Lead, Mia Chisholm, worked the room. She made sure everyone knows how we help people get back into the workforce. Alachua Sheriff’s office says they are willing to work with people who need a second chance. We met people from great companies like Gainesville Health and Fitness.
