Work can be fun. The GOC had a ton of work and a ton of fun preparing for our first ever Ambassador Fundraising Dinner. So here we are, adults whose lives have been seriously disrupted by mental illness, planning and executing our fundraising Ambassador Dinner. Click through the photos to see what everyone did. One of Our Standards says “The work done in the Clubhouse is exclusively the work generated by the Clubhouse in the operation and enhancement of the Clubhouse community.” Our Members are taking this seriously. It is important. It is also a lot of fun. Clubhouse International – ICCD The Academy at Glengary

Look at the GOC kitchen team preparing a meal for almost 50 people! Alina provides service with a smile. Preparing the vegetables for the grill. Rob was our bartender. Alina is hustling. We are filming the video skit. Francis made a great Gilligan. Tamoro, Alina and Kyana set up early in the afternoon for the dinner event. Can you tell people are happy here? Susan was not only the subject of our feature video, she helped set up the drink station. Bill has years of experience in food service. He is a hard worker. Currently he is looking for work. Karen helps in the kitchen and our graphic design. Mia and Cristina are having fun. Joel came to the GOC after his workday. He served dinner and stayed until 9pm to clean up. We had gourmet grilled jerk chicken with grilled pineapple on top. We also had fondant, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The GOC team is working together. Look at that team! Everything was fresh! Kareena helped on the grill. Wanting to help becomes contagious. Even Victor Rush got into the action. It feels good to help!
