Lloyd Boulet helped lay sod, along with Pat Bateman, Reid Schreiber and Brett Buell. Ed Book of the Rotary Club of Downtown Gainesville showed Reid how to stake off parking areas. GOC Board Member Mercy Quiroga made sure the grass got something to drink. Brett Buell and his helper Cody delivered stakes to those helping stake. GOC Board Member Shoab Rana helped Rotarian Kirk Smith sharpen knives. There will be lots of meat to cut. Rotarian Charles Allen and GOC Board Chair Mike Conlon worked together for much of the morning moving equipment and pressure washing. Along with the GOC, The Child Advocacy Center and UF Mobile Outreach Clinic will all benefit from this event. Rotarian Feastmaster Jay Nordqvist expressed his appreciation to all of the volunteers to helped. We are all working to make Gainesville just a little bit better.
