Yet another award. Our “Clubhouse” model earned the Pardes Humanitarian Prize in Mental Health. It recognizes contributions that make a lasting impact improving the lives of those living with mental illness. It focuses public attention on the urgent need to expand mental health services globally. Awards are nice. But how do we measure the difference we really make in our Members lives? Susan is working for the first time in more than 25 years. She was recently named “Employee of the Month” at Culver’s. The feeling you get when you help others is propelling Carrie forward. Chris and Kim say they have more friends than ever before. It sure beats isolation and loneliness. Belinda has found new ways to become productive. John is learning new skills every day. He runs our cash register and is learning basic computer skills. Reid is helping others. Mark feels a sense of connection and is finding new ways to help his fellow Members.
