We recently hosted faculty from Clubhouse International for a comprehensive three-day accreditation visit to Gainesville. The team reviewed our policies and operations to ensure our Clubhouse continues to meet international standards. As part of their visit, the team toured our Transitional Employment (TE) sites, where we ran into Alachua County Commissioner Marihelen Wheeler, who regularly engages with our program. Moving beyond isolation, re-entering the workforce, and directly connecting with local civic leaders shows the Clubhouse Model in action.

Before departing on Wednesday, the team shared that our overall program is exceptionally strong and that our Members are clearly gaining immense confidence, purpose, and community connections through their work. They provided valuable insights and recommendations that will help us make the Gainesville Opportunity Center even better moving forward.

We are deeply grateful to be an accredited Clubhouse, thankful for our strong local partnerships, and honored to support our Members as they reclaim their independence. Jason is in one of our TE jobs in the Board of County Commissioners office. It is great to see our Members work directly with community leadership. We are all one big happy team at the Clubhouse. Working together is what we are all about.
