We had a special visit from Mary Anne Pinner, who dropped off some essential tools for our culinary program: two Instant Pots and a Ninja blender food processor.
Every year, Dennis and Mary Anne Pinner makes it a point to support organizations that help people living with mental illness. This year, they chose the GOC.
For Mary Anne, this mission is deeply personal. Her son, also named Dennis, disappeared in August 2023 while struggling with his mental illness. He has not been found. By supporting the GOC, the Pinners are honoring Dennis and helping us provide a place where others can find the community and support they need to move forward.
These new tools will go straight to work in our kitchen. A reliable kitchen is the engine of the work day—it’s where we develop vocational skills, prep our garden-to-table meals, and build the relationships that sustain our recovery.
We are grateful to Mary Anne for her generosity and for trusting us to carry on this important work in honor of her family.
If you also wish to donate to the GOC, you may do so here. You may even donate in the name of Dennis Pinner. https://www.theamazinggive.org/…/gainesville…#AmazingGiveClubhouse International – ICCD#amazinggive2026#amazinggivegnv
