We have a growing problem at the Gainesville Opportunity Center! Our garden is doing so well that our tomato plants have officially grown out of control. They are getting so big and heavy they’re starting to fall over!

Members like Scott (pictured here! with our new Executive Director Alana Grier) have been working incredibly hard to tend to these plants, but we’ve reached a tipping point. We urgently need trellises and heavy-duty support structures to keep our garden thriving.

Why your donation matters:

Everything we grow in this garden goes straight into our Culinary Unit, where it’s used to prepare fresh, healthy meals for our Members. By supporting our garden, you’re helping feed our community and providing meaningful work for our Members.

It is The Amazing Give, and there is no better time to support the GOC! Your donation today helps us buy the tools we need to keep Scott and the rest of the garden team going strong.

Let’s help these tomatoes stand tall! Every dollar makes a difference.

Scott is with our new Executive Director, Alana! Look how beautiful this is. It will end up in a salad. These tomatoes are heavy and need support. How does our garden grow? It grows with your support. I have never seen a tomato plant grow like this. More to come!
