Our Fall Festival has come and gone. Together we celebrated the strengths of our Members and the community that works together to support people whose lives have been interrupted by mental illness. Nancy Ryan has volunteered and donated for 10 years. She has been a foundation regarding our progress and stability. Nancy’s daughter, Kathleen Ryan, was on our Board for 8 years. Steve Kattell and Kim Ball do our audits. They also support us tremendously. Our executive director, Margie Foster, can attest to that! Lorry from Grace Healthcare has been a great friend to our program also. Cadence and Alessandro from the UF Rotary Club, known as Rotaract, helped on the grill. One of our staff, Randy Monk, takes a break from a day of hard work. Natasha from HCA North Florida Intensive Outpatient comes to all of our events. She also loves to send referrals. Pini from Rotary in India visited. She is with Brett and Allison Mendoza and Ofc. Sara Reeves from the GPD Meridian Co-responder teams. Karen Davilla makes a cake for us every year. This year: Carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Brett is with Alachua County Chief of Staff, Gina Peebles. Gina has been instrumental with our employment positions with the county. This is the star of the day, Nancy Ryan! Brett is with Sue Eichner, now retired from Meridian. Sue may have personally sent us 100 referrals in the early years of the GOC. GOC Members James and Jacob are with a significant part of the GPD and Meridian Co-responder team. Jodi Irving is a long time supporter. She donated a gift basket for our raffle.
