The Gainesville Opportunity Center Transitional Employment (TE) Program creates real job opportunities with real support.

TE provides temporary, part-time positions that help Members build work stamina, confidence, and skills while earning a paycheck. The jobs we provide are important, meaningful, and real. What makes TE special is that no one does it alone — we support each other every step of the way.

David is currently working at the Alachua County Mail Room, delivering mail to the correct agencies and building strong workplace habits. As his TE term comes to an end, David is now training Kayla to take over the position — showing teamwork, leadership, and the true spirit of Transitional Employment.

Kayla will officially step into the role in early March, and we are proud to see this smooth transition in action!
