We were happy to have Aaron Klein from the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections here at the GOC to educate us on how to sign up to vote. Voting is an inherent right of citizenship, and is something many people have fought for. Many of our Members have had difficulty signing up to vote due to lack of identification or other obstacles. Aaron shared ways to register to vote, including forms of acceptable identification. He explained how to vote, when early elections occur, and the reasons to choose or not choose party affiliation. Our Member listened earnestly to the presentation and asked lots of questions. Before the presentation, GOC Member Sean gave Aaron a tour of the facility so Aaron can better understand how we are helping people. Aaron left plenty of materials behind, so GOC can help Members register to vote.
