FLCC (Florida Clubhouse Coalition)
The Florida Clubhouse Coalition consists of 11 mental health Clubhouse programs that share a common purpose: to provide adults pursuing mental health recovery with the opportunity to achieve their full potential through friendship, wellness, skill development, community support, education and employment.
Clubhouses powerfully demonstrate that people with mental illness can and do lead productive, happy lives. Each Clubhouse we open reaches +/- 500 people in need!
NAMI Gainesville is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, support, and advocacy with the goal to empower individuals living with mental illness and their families, and to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness. Elimination of the stigma attached to mental illness is essential to achieve the goals of empowerment, social inclusion, and recover.
Peer Respite House
Gainesville Peer Respite provides sanctuary and support to those who are experiencing or have experienced overwhelming mental /emotional distress. We seek to create a community that supports open dialogue, empowerment, self-determination, recovery and wellness. Our staff members have lived experiences similar to those we serve. Together we hope to create an environment that helps people transform experiences of distress into opportunities for learning and life enhancement.
